“We had an ornament day in June with stations and parent volunteers. Children, ages 4-13, participated and created their favorite interpretation of Alaska. The experience was one of pride in our state and fun for the children. Alaska is a vast place, and most of the pictures show our beauty from different perspectives, ranging from fishing, to hunting, to scenery, to Native living, and more. My ornament tissue paper, glue, paint and pastels. There is a halibut that we catch in the ocean. Halibut is delicious! There’s a sun because we have lots of sun in the summer. Also we have grass.
