New Hampshire
McDonough Elementary School
“Our second graders were thrilled to participate in this special ornament project. We explored New Hampshire’s unique features, like the White Mountains, Old Man on the Mountain, and local heroes, inspiring students’ designs. Working alongside our art teacher, students learned to focus on detail and take pride in their work. For many, this was a rare and meaningful opportunity, and their pride and happiness shone throughout the process. We are all grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.” – Mrs. Christy B., Teacher

I chose the White Mountains because I thought they were beautiful. I have never been to the White Mountains but I would like to go one day and see the mountains in person. When making my ornament I got to use sharpie and watercolors. I had to be really careful not to get any watercolor near the White Birch Trees because I wanted them to stand out. White Birch trees are really special to NH.
