Oregon
McMinnville School District
“These ornaments were created by students participating in our district’s summer enrichment programs. The students come from a wide range of grade levels and schools throughout the district, and over the summer, they had the opportunity to learn and create together. Students chose to highlight Oregon’s natural beauty, including its trees, rivers, mountains, and coastlines. Each ornament is a reflection of how these young people see and experience Oregon.” – Lauren B., Teacher

My experience while creating this ornament was stress to make it pretty, joy of my progress, and passion for my lovely state of Oregon and all it holds. I came up with this design because it represents where I currently live in Oregon. Oregon is half desert and half rain forest. I live in the rain forest half. It’s so pretty here and peaceful in sunny bright mornings, so I think my inspiration was the fact that I live in such an original, perfect, pretty place.
